On a practical level, Moringa has been useful in treating anemia in Africa due to its life sustaining properties – especially in poverty stricken, poor areas which lack food abundance.

The body’s immune system is stimulated by the consumption of Moringa leaves. Given it energizes the body’s defence mechanism it is prescribed for AIDS patients in Africa. The leaves are known for their anti-bacterial properties, which help with opportunistic infections that sometimes appear in immune suppressed patients.
